Hostal La Mansion

The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception pointed us to a nearby restaurant so good we ate there three times in two days. The rooms are tight, though. There’s a huge concrete base around the bed that you’re likely to bang your shin on. Apparently rooms around town are generally small, but the bed base could have been designed better. It’s a reasonably priced hotel, and they’re building another floor now. Maybe the relative price should earn it five stars, but someone should avoid repeating that bed base design upstairs.

The crew were lovely throughout our stay, and the receptionist was great. The hotel is close to almost everything in Tolú. Since it’s not right by the sea, the pool was a nice feature. I really liked the service and facilities.

Terrible.

The staff were great, the service was excellent, and the food tasted delicious. But the mattress in the room for two was tiny, almost the size of a single, and its springs were sticking out. I could feel the metal against my back, slept terribly, and woke up with back and neck pain.
