We had the vacation of my life during a week at Camino Verde. The beach and cocktails, especially, were great. Shout out to Luis and Oscar for the cocktails, and the rest of the staff were pretty friendly too. Food was good, though being vegetarian wasn’t always easy, as seems to be the case throughout Colombia. The trail behind the park is fantastic, and the sculptures are interesting. We stayed in a clean hut across the street, but it was very rudimentary. The biggest drawback was that we all got bedbug bites. It didn’t dampen our spirits, though, just a minor issue. English is basically nonexistent here, like in most places around here. Still, just go. It’s great!

It was a fine experience. There’s a volleyball court, but the pool is small and the hotel isn’t right in front of the beach. I think they should have more kayaks.

Basic and affordable, with beautiful beaches. At sundown the mosquitoes are killer. If you want to get well off the beaten path, this is the place.
