Alegria Hostel

The location puts you right in the middle of everything, and free motorcycle parking was handy. Our private room was clean and comfortable for a decent price. The staff were very friendly and helped with our questions.

Julie and the rest of the staff were amazing, so kind and attentive. The place was clean and the service was great, which made for a really pleasant stay. Definitely worth it, and I'd highly recommend it for solo travelers, couples, or families.

The rental cost more than bikes elsewhere in town, and the bike itself wasn't in good shape. The brakes worked poorly and eventually stopped working altogether, while the gear changer only worked half the time. When we told the woman at reception, she said they serviced the bikes all the time. Then we had a long argument about the extra time charge. She kept insisting on the higher amount until a friend of hers pointed out that we actually owed even less than we'd thought. Maybe she just struggled with the basic math, but it was a bad experience. I can't recommend renting here.

We felt right at home in this little hostel. The people were very friendly, and it was easy to communicate with them. It's just outside the old town, and nights were calm.
