Fontana Plaza Hotel

The beds are so comfortable, and the hotel is really clean. Great location, close to restaurants and Villa del Leyva's central square.

Super.

The food was delicious, especially the bread, which came out perfectly crispy. We only stayed for a day and night, but it was awesome. Our room was cozy, and the bathroom was very neatly arranged. The TV was broken, and a kind woman tried to fix it for us. She couldn't get it working, but I appreciated the effort. I'd highly recommend the place.

I was told on the third day that I had to leave the suite because it had been rented to someone else. They said there were no rooms left at this hotel and sent me to a different one, with lower standards than the place I'd booked. I had to change my plans and lose time dealing with my luggage. I had reserved three nights. When I arrived, I asked to move away from the noisy entrance and was upgraded to a suite. They said there'd be no extra charge as long as I didn't use the fireplace or jacuzzi, and confirmed that there wouldn't be a problem or extra fees for my three nights. The staff did try to fix their mistakes, but the communication was unclear and unprofessional. The management seems very family-run, and the person assigning rooms was a minor. From the problems I had, they seemed to have no training. They brag about their good rating, but after what we experienced, I don't think they deserve it. They really need to improve their customer service.
