A beautiful, peaceful place with really sweet staff. There’s a supermarket nearby, and getting to the village is easy.

The dirt road on the way in might put you off, but the house is absolutely worth it. It's beautiful, and I left really happy.

We loved the family feel and the rooms at the owner's other place in Barichara, Santander, too. Both spots get a 100/100 from me. This one is a lovely place to unwind as a couple or with family, with an exquisite breakfast and a delicious wood-fired chicken sancocho available for lunch.

Villa de Leyva's public transport and taxis are so poor that you'll need a car to get here. Still, it's a lovely, warm and pleasant place to relax.

The Wi-Fi worked the whole time, which was a nice bonus. The rooms are comfortable, the place is lovely, and the owner is so welcoming you feel at home. Excellent service too. I'd highly recommend this hostel.
