We celebrated our wedding here, and it was the best day of our lives! Sophia and the employees were so easy to work with and made everything run smoothly. They were friendly, attentive and helpful. The location is beautiful, the food was yummy and the rooms were gorgeous. At the end of the night they even let us set off fireworks near the pond. :-)

We arrived at La Casona del Cafetal with a fever, and the hotel quickly put us in touch with a doctor in the nearby village. We got help within minutes, and we’re very grateful to the staff for their support. The property is beautifully kept, surrounded by nature, with stunning lake views. Our well equipped suite had air conditioning, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also really enjoyed the delicious restaurant food and the amazing view of the lake from there. It’s worth coming for a meal, especially while it’s still daylight.

A peaceful, serene hotel with gorgeous scenery, almost like Hawaii. The rooms are so lovely and modern, with both fresh air through screens and a/c. Service was top level, and the restaurant’s food and service were definitely five star. We highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our meals overlooking Lake Cachi, and the lake kept changing as the wind moved the water lilies. The private casitas are beautiful. Sophia was attentive and helpful with check in and serving us, and Michael, the owner, made sure our visit with great.

I enjoyed my one night here. The gardens are lovely for a stroll and attract plenty of birds, and the property is clean and well maintained. The rooms are well appointed, with fans and air conditioning, and the WiFi handled Zoom calls well. Breakfast was excellent, with superb coffee. My evening meal was nice, though expensive.
