I felt at home here, thanks to the owners, and the location is hard to beat. I stayed three nights and was extremely comfortable. The facilities were very clean, my room was cleaned daily, and breakfast was delicious. I’d recommend staying here when you visit Santa Teresa.

On Wednesday evenings this year, Bajo El Arbol is doing Pintxo Night, with Basque tapas from San Sebastian that are indescribably delicious. Mauro and Julio bring together Italian and Basque cooking in a peaceful, romantic garden. A culinary jewel and a gourmet’s delight in Santa Teresa. Treat yourself to dinner here!

Dinner at bajo el Arbol with my friends was the best I’ve had in Santa Teresa. The beautiful setting and delicious food were served with so much love and passion. Highly recommend.

We toured the whole country over the last three weeks, and this was the cleanest place we stayed. It’s right across from the beach and grocery store, and the included breakfast was delicious, with fresh ingredients and homemade bread. There was actual HOT water too. This place was superb.

The owner was attentive and helpful with recommendations, and the setting felt like a magical garden. My husband and I were impressed by both the service and the inventive, original food. We ordered marinated tuna and sardines, carpaccio of the catch of the day, which was marlin, octopus galacian, eggplant, and candied shrimp. Every dish was unlike anything I’d had before, and delicious.
