The manager was welcoming and knew the area well. Bikes are available to rent through them, and there’s yoga nearby at Tierra de los Sueños and Dragonfly Resort. I loved that the cabanas are tucked in lush vegetation off the road, right across from beach access. One thing for very light sleepers: the cabins are mostly bug netting and only about 8 feet apart, so you can hear your neighbors.

I only stayed one night and wished I’d booked longer. The room was lovely and clean, and being surrounded by nature, birds, and animals made it easy to sleep like a baby. The staff were so, so friendly, too. The beach is just a three-minute walk from this cute hotel in Playa Chiquita. I really loved it!

The room was very clean and well organized, tucked into the jungle, and I appreciated how kind the team was. William at reception made me feel at home right away. He always asked how I was doing in the area and gave me great recommendations for activities. I originally came for a few days but stayed longer because of the excellent location near beautiful beaches. I can’t wait to come back. Best experience on Costa Rica’s Caribbean side, gracias!

We came in low season and stayed for a week. The area is peaceful and sweet, just what you want in Puerto Viejo, with a magical beach across the road. Many thanks to Pablo and William. William was always smiling and ready to help with anything.

The cabins are really cool, and the staff are very friendly. It feels like you’re right in the jungle, where howler monkeys sometimes wake you at 6. The dishes weren’t very clean, though, and the wifi is slow.
