For a first night in Costa Rica after a looong flight, this worked out great, though getting here from the airport means crossing the city. That was a good test drive for us. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. Staff were friendly, parking was free, and breakfast was complimentary and excellent, especially the chicken, coffee, and local fruit. We walked to a nearby Walmart to pick up water and snacks for the road trip, and there was an ATM by the parking lot for cash. Amenities are very limited, but we didn't need much. Great value for redeeming Hyatt points.

I was there for a week. The service seemed okay at first, with workers greeting me, but later I felt their attitude changed because they expected tips for every little thing. I had breakfast on three mornings, then skipped the next two because the workers looked at me in a way that felt devious. People pay a lot for a hotel, and it seemed to me they expected tips every time. One cleaning lady was so nice, though. She said she loved her job and that guests came first, because without them she wouldn't have a job. I told her I wished the other employees thought like she did. I loved that cleaning lady.

There are plenty of eateries within walking distance, and the hotel service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's in a circular shopping and eating area. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was the highlight, with lots of delicious, tasty, fresh options. The hotel is big and felt very safe, our room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Free parking was included. There are plenty of restaurant choices around, plus an in-house restaurant. Very good stay, definitely recommend.

For a one-night stop while traveling through, the Hyatt Place was ideal. We could park safely in the underground garage, and the rooms were furnished as you'd expect for the standard Hyatt Place concept. Breakfast had everything you'd expect too.
