We were just a couple of blocks from the airport, and dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was on the small side, but we’d booked the cheap one, so next time I’ll pay the extra $20. This is a well kept classic, with cared for woodwork, artwork, lovely architecture, and an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time.

It’s not the newest hotel, but the pool, location, and included services make it well worth considering in Golfito. We found it relaxing, with comfortable rooms, good amenities, and friendly service for a solid price. The restaurant food was enjoyable and fairly priced compared with nearby options, so it’s good value for money.

The front desk lady was incredibly helpful and was happy to change our reservation, which is why I’m giving it five stars. The bar is beautiful and it’s good value for the money. Still, the hotel needs a refresh, the food wasn’t good, and the first room we were shown had a bad smell. The place now feels like a shadow of what it used to be, or could be.

We had a quiet, laid back four days, just what we needed. The pool was outstanding, and the poolside service was great. Our room was very clean, the beds were so comfortable, and we slept really well. The drinks were good too. There were way too many breakfast options to choose from, and we loved the coffee. You’ll need a car to get around Golfito, and we had quite an adventure.

It’s one of the best looking hotels in Golfito, but the loud music and noisy nights got in the way of getting a good night’s sleep. It felt like the place depends on local people to make a profit, and the stay fell short of what my group expected.
