Cielo Lodge

What stayed with me most was how welcoming everyone at Cielo Lodge was. The team was kind, attentive, and clearly cared about making the visit smooth and memorable. The lodge and bungalows are beautifully designed, combining comfort and luxury with sustainability and a real connection to the surroundings. The rainforest setting is stunning, with wide open views, lush greenery, fresh air, and nature sounds to wake up to. It felt like a dream. Cielo Lodge was a magical escape, and I hope I can return someday. I’ll cherish the experience.

Our family, with children aged 16 and 11, stayed in the middle of the rainforest, with breathtaking views from the private lodges, restaurant, and large infinity pool. The staff at Cielo Lodge were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The organized outings let us experience nature in all its splendour, from Corcovado and the mangroves to dolphins and whales, and looking for birds, sloths, monkeys, and frogs. The food was one of the best parts of our stay. Every meal was beautifully prepared and nourishing after our adventure days, which the excellent staff had planned so carefully. Delia, Yudy, and Ronald made Cielo Lodge feel like a home away from home. The property fits beautifully into the rainforest, with personal touches throughout and breathtaking views from both our suite and the lodge. We loved our time at Cielo Lodge and highly recommend it to anyone planning a Costa Rica trip who wants to experience the country’s beauty and wonder.

The team made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Ronald was waiting at Golfito Airport after our Sansa flight and was warm and friendly. Reception greeted us like friends, and the fresh juice was very welcome. We got to relax by the pool and take in the incredible view before checking in and being shown to our room. The whole arrival exceeded our expectations. Our suite blew us away, especially the view from the balcony. The hammock was a lovely spot to relax to the rainforest sounds, the bed was very comfortable, and the outdoor shower made us feel part of nature in the morning. With the suite open at both the front and back, we felt immersed in the rainforest. It was always clean and comfortable, with nothing broken or missing. The meals were generous and far beyond what we expected. Delvin and his chefs were inventive, turning homegrown and local produce into beautiful, delicious dishes. The vegetarian choices were incredible and always a tasty alternative to meat or fish. The staff were kind, thoughtful, cheerful, informed, and always willing and able to help. Hector, Julie, Katherine, and Natalie were a real asset, always smiling and happy to do anything we needed. Delia was an excellent General Manager who kept the lodge running smoothly and was always helpful and welcoming. Josue’s knowledge and enthusiasm made our trips to Corcovado and the Mangroves, and our evening frog walks, especially interesting and enjoyable. We’d give the experience an 11 out of 10. Keith and Nicole and the team are creating something unique and extraordinary, and our stay felt priceless. From getting off the Sansa plane at Golfito airport to boarding it again for the journey home, the accommodation and surroundings were stunning, the food and service were marvelous, and the staff were happy and helpful. The other travelers we met were pleasant and interesting company too. Keith, Nicole, the whole team, and the passionate, well-informed guides deserve congratulations.
