We paid top dollar and had a terrible stay. These condos are independently owned, and this particular owner shouldn't be renting out a unit in this condition. I have pictures of the apparent mold. The cabinets are worn, and the stained furniture looks awful. They also let people use the pool without staying here, which isn't good. Best in Jaco Diamante Del Sol? More like the WORST IN JACO. At these rates, people expect more. Get it together, YOUR PLACE IS TERRIBLE!! I've never posted a bad review before, but this is one. Do your research before staying here. We arrived after traveling all day and were so tired that we dropped our bags and went to dinner, since we were only there for one night on the way to the airport. From the moment we entered, there was a weird incense smell, possibly to cover another odor. We later found out it was mold. The furniture was out of place, the couch was worn and very wet, as if it had just been cleaned, and the other pieces were tattered and need replacing. When we got back, the air conditioner was leaking across both the master bedroom floor and the second bedroom floor. The office was closed, so I emailed them and never heard back. We cleaned up the disgusting mess and went to bed. I slipped on the wet floor when I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The mold was so bad I couldn't breathe, so I went out to sleep on the porch, but couldn't sleep there either because guards were walking back and forth. I told the management company in the morning. They said they'd look into it and get back to me. We checked out and left for the airport. They've now said they won't refund any of our money.

The condos are very nice, though the elevators seem a bit unreliable. I'd try for an apartment on a lower floor.

The views are lovely, and the condos are in a great location. They feel very safe.
