Hotel Villa Caletas

The pool is a lovely spot, shaded just before sunset, with another stunning sea view. Cocktails at sunset were nice, though it gets busy since quite a few people come just for the view. There's plenty of seating around the amphitheater, so everyone can see. The food was great, with a nice, interesting selection. Check-in was easy, and the staff were very friendly. The drive up the narrow lane is a bit of a haul, but like plenty of roads in Costa Rica. We booked a double room with a balcony expecting a garden view, and got paradise instead. We almost didn't leave the room, but there was lots to explore. Wonderful experience, thank you!

A perfect romantic getaway. We only booked one night, which was a mistake. My husband is already asking to book two next time so we can properly enjoy the spa, pool, and incredible sunsets. Everything felt relaxed and luxurious, with warm, attentive staff who seemed genuinely happy. The room had breathtaking ocean views, the infinity pool was a dream, and the food was so good we're still talking about it. It feels made for couples, with an intimate atmosphere everywhere. The drive up the hill is steep, narrow and a little wild, so a 4×4 is recommended. It's worth the trek. Cheeky monkeys will come onto your balcony to say good morning, so if you eat out there, don't leave anything they might find interesting. Already counting down until we're back. For a slice of paradise, book this hotel. ❤️

The wildlife we saw during this stay was better than everything we saw in our entire first week in Costa Rica. This resort is unbelievable and worth every penny. The staff were kind, warm, and helpful, and our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. I'd happily splurge on even one night, and I'm already planning to return.

Villa Caletas was a great choice for our destination wedding. We had about 50 guests and held the event at the Mirador, which worked perfectly for having separate spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guests loved the experience and had lots of praise for the beautiful venue, the food, and how well the event went. Pablo, our hotel contact, was kind, patient, and always open to working with us on how we wanted the day to go. On the day, he stayed calm and made confident recommendations. I appreciated his flexibility with the changes we needed to make. Many guests stayed in Jacó or Playa Herradura and got to explore the area. Those who stayed at Villa Caletas had great things to say about the hotel. I'd highly recommend the venue for a destination wedding.
