You can step straight from the room onto the beach, and the sunsets from the rooms and restaurant are beautiful. The staff were really nice and helpful. The rooms could have been cleaner, though, and there wasn’t enough hot water for a shower. They also only provided one all-purpose soap, with no extra shampoo, conditioner, or soap.

The location worked perfectly for us, right on the beach and in the middle of everything. I also loved all the iguanas around the property. The staff were so kind, helpful, and accommodating, and the rooms were very clean. They cleaned every surface, including the sliding glass doors and our balcony, each time. I highly recommend staying here in Jaco.

The heated pools were a welcome break from the west coast heat, and there are three to choose from, one for kids and two for families. The garden and pool area were comfortable. We stayed two nights in a spacious villa room that was clean when we arrived, if a little dated. The essentials worked, and the effective air conditioning responded quickly, though it could get noisy above the lowest fan setting. The shower took a while to heat up, but we had enough hot water. We didn’t need room service, and reception gave us fresh towels when we asked. Breakfast was a typical Costa Rican spread, with one juice choice, coffee with milk, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and the expected breakfast items. We saw plenty of iguanas from a distance. There were crocodile warning signs because the hotel is next to a river, but we didn’t see any during our stay. It was good value for a pleasant beachfront stay.

They’ve added some things to the restaurant menu, and the portions are plentiful. There’s a good range of wines and spirits, too. The service in Jaco is the best I’ve had, with staff who are helpful and enthusiastic. They’re fully bilingual, though they always encourage you to try your Spanish. There are three pools, and you can rent pool access for the day even if you’re not a hotel guest. Poolside service is available. It’s also child-friendly, with a new little playground that’s safe and secure, so parents can relax whether their kids are playing or not. Enjoy, you won’t be disappointed.
