After our original Airbnb turned out to be a mouldy dump, we needed to move fast, and I was so glad to find La Perlita. It's a peaceful green pocket just off the main street in downtown Jaco, with hummingbirds and toucans in the backyard. The small pool is deep and shaded by tall trees during the day. Our apartment was bright, clean, and airy, with high ceilings, large windows, a spacious private patio for shade on hot days, AC in every room, hot water, and a washing machine. With only five rental units, the villa gave us a calm break from Jaco's noise and bustle. The hosts are a lovely, incredibly friendly and helpful couple. I'd absolutely return.

Good spot for a laid-back guys' trip. It's away from the main street and has the basics, nothing fancy. At one point the toilets stopped working, but the hosts fixed it right away. It's no good for partying since guests aren't allowed.

The owners were a huge help when I was having trouble accessing my money in Jaco, and they were genuinely wonderful to deal with. The place itself feels especially authentic compared with other spots I've stayed in Jaco, from the decor to the overall vibe. It's cozy, quiet, and relaxing, only two blocks from the beach, with a fair price. I'd happily recommend it.
