Ocean Beach Jaco

The location works well, with an easy walk to the high street while staying away from its traffic noise, and there’s plenty of parking. The rooms and suites are spacious, though the plunge pools are small and lack privacy from the neighbors above. Suites also don’t have full-length mirrors. Breakfast is okay, with limited choices. The gym is in awful shape, with rusty equipment and weights that seem likely to cause an injury. We ordered ribs at the downstairs restaurant and they seemed like a frozen meal reheated in the oven. Skip the cookies and desserts too, they were stale and way overpriced. Having animals on the property has its good and bad sides, but quiet hours would help, since barking dogs woke guests at 7:30am.
