Hotel Lomas del Volcán

The volcano view from our room was very cool, and the tubs on the patio made for fun evenings at sunset. We loved the location and found the beds comfy. Breakfast was worth paying for, with lots of fresh food, eggs, coffee, pastries, and juices. We also had dinner there one night, and it was just as delicious. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a great time. Highly recommend this hotel!

We spent four nights here, and the clean rooms, lovely scenery across the resort, and especially great staff made the stay memorable. Alex was so kind and helpful, and we loved talking with him. Make sure to get breakfast, it was delicious and kept us full for our daily adventures. We’re going to try making some of those dishes at home. Thanks for taking such good care of us!

Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the front desk and bellboys to the spa team and servers. The view is amazing, and the heated pool was a treat. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, though a little dark, especially down the hill in 406, where we stayed. It’s an easy Uber or taxi ride into Fortuna if you don’t have a car.

We couldn’t make time for the free yoga, spa, or private hiking trail with animals this trip, but we hope to next time. The individual cabins are beautiful and well kept, surrounded by lovely greenery that makes the place feel tranquil. The location is favorable, the welcome drinks were delicious, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Dinner is pricier, around $50 plates, but absolutely delicious. Staff were welcoming and the waiters especially friendly. The warmed swim-up pool bar was a great way to unwind after a busy day around La Fortuna. This was the nicest stay we’ve ever had, and we can’t wait to return to Hotel Lomas del Volcan.
