I felt at home in a really nice setting, so I ended up extending my stay. It's great value for money. The manager was one of the nicest people I've met, funny and caring, and took the time to get to know you. The lodge is made of beautiful wood, with a view over the Vulcano, and they do a good job keeping everything clean.

Esteban helped me so much when I arrived in a panic because my credit card wasn't working at all. He sorted out the check-in and a lot more, and helped me find a solution. I'm very grateful for how understanding he was, won't forget it, and hope he gets a promotion. The place has a beautiful view of vulcano Arenal, clean rooms, delicious food at the restaurant, and gated parking. I can highly recommend it.

The cabin sits in lovely natural surroundings, among lush plants, and faces the volcano. Fog hid it most of our stay, though we finally saw it on our last day. The accommodation is pretty basic and plain, nothing special, but it was fine for a short visit. Breakfast was decent, with three choices including a traditional Costa Rican one. I didn't enjoy the coffee, especially the weak americano, which wasn't to my European taste. The atmosphere and setting were what made the place pleasant.

The staff were so kind and full of useful information, and the view of arenal volcano was spectacular. The one drawback is the distance, it's 15-20 minutes from everything.

For the price, it was pretty good. A few things let it down: some tub fixtures were broken, the tour agency wasn't especially helpful, and the restaurant was good but expensive. The waiter asked me at least three times if I wanted to buy more food to take away, and we were charged for "extra bread" with our free breakfast.
