Henry made our week here feel easy. We were traveling without a car, and when my friend hurt her knee surfing, he arranged a ride to the clinic. He was also happy to answer questions and chat, while leaving us to our own thing when we wanted. He often puts on potluck BBQs with guests and local friends, and we got to know a few neighbors in the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The property is gated, so it felt secure, and the jungle-like grounds had Howler monkeys passing through a couple of times during our week. The renovated bungalows were nicer than their online photos, and the kitchen was useful for skipping some restaurant meals. There were also several long-term guests staying over the winter. We came with a friend to surf, and Casa Rosada was good value in bougie, not-cheap Guiones, with the beach within walking distance. I'd stay here again if I return to Guiones.

It's about a five-minute walk to the north side of Guiones beach. The casita-style units sit inside a gated compound, with lockboxes so you don't have to carry keys. Some have indoor surf racks, though not all. The host was super friendly, and the place is dog-friendly, which was great. There's also a clean, shaded pool for the hot days.

We kept extending our stay, and the kids especially loved the BBQs. Henry is relaxed and welcoming, and hosts BBQs where guests can join in, bring something, and eat together. The whole place has a no-pressure feel. We cooked for ourselves to save money, with a grocery store at the end of the street that had what we needed. We could also use the guesthouse boogie boards and surfboards instead of renting. The little pool was perfect for the kids and nicely shaded, while the patio with yoga mats and lounge chairs felt inviting. We had a great time and plan to return. Thanks, Henry!

Henri is a great host, and the cabinas have the basics covered, including AC and hot water. It's a quiet spot, as long as you don't mind the monkeys, and only a five-minute walk from the beach.

Really nice and relaxed here, and it's quiet while still close to everything. The pool area is great and the place is clean. I've only been here two of my five days, but I'm posting already because I know it's a 10/10. Nothing to complain about.
