The bed was incredibly comfortable, and both the rooms and grounds were spotless and well looked after. We also loved having a peaceful pool to unwind by. From the Domo, we could walk to plenty of restaurants and the beach. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, arranging tours and tuk tuks and sharing ideas for things to do and places to eat. I’ve never had service that felt so personal.

Playa Pelada is a short walk away, with a stunning view, and the hotel is right across from the amazing Sunrise cafe. I was traveling solo and loved my stay at Domo. The spacious room had everything I needed, and the air conditioner was a lifesaver in the heat. The pool was well maintained, with mostly shaded seating, and the hotel felt calm and peaceful. Staff were lovely and helped arrange a tuk tuk when I wanted to go somewhere. Their local tips in the room were useful too. The route marked for Playa Guinones had standing water, so I took a Tuk Tuk there instead. It’s another beautiful beach, with people surfing. I’d suggest renting a car or ATV around here. I might have seen more with better planning, lol. I’d happily return and stay longer. Highly recommend!

We really didn’t want to leave. The Nicoya Peninsula will always bring back memories of this hotel and the time we spent here. The team was lovely and helped with every request, from arranging tours to suggesting great places to visit. Everyone was wonderful, especially the receptionists and Eric, the guard. Our family loved the pool, and the accommodation itself was stylish and had such a nice feel.

We ended up spending more time at DOMO than planned because the salt water pool and comfy cabanas made it hard to leave. It’s a peaceful, intimate spot with a stylish feel, tropical flowers visited by hummingbirds, and monkeys calling from the treetops. La Luna, Play Pelada and Sunshine are also within an easy walk. The rooms worked so well for our family of four: kitchen, living room, several bedrooms, a big shower and outdoor space, plus strong wifi, AC and power backups. They can be cleaned immaculately every day if you want. It felt more like having villa-suite space within a hotel. Xochitl and Jeffry looked after us with real warmth and never made us feel rushed. After a long travel day with two toddlers, they greeted us with cold coconuts and warm smiles. They stocked the fridge before our late arrival, surprised us with a cake for my son’s birthday, suggested child-friendly hidden gem beaches where we were the only ones, and arranged cars, babysitters, tuktuks, dinner reservations and more. DOMO has the space and amenities to feel like home, with beautiful design, concierge service and tropical surroundings that still make it feel like a luxury holiday. It’s a thoughtful place that connects guests with nature and culture. Thanks to the DOMO team for such a perfect reset and dreamy jungle heaven.

Right by the beach, with quick access to restaurants and Supermercado, and a bit less touristy than guiones, which I liked. The pool is amazing, the staff are lovely, and there are lots of shady spots to relax. It’s a quiet, boutique-style place that seems great for families, couples or solo travelers. You can buy coconuts, beer and coffee on site, and the rooms have full kitchens. The only downside is there’s no restaurant, so daytime snacks would be nice. It would be great if a local could come by with something like pop-up ceviche or ampanadas. That’s my only gripe. Beautiful decor, and I’d come again.
