We booked without much research and felt we'd stumbled on a gem. Restaurants are nearby, and the beach is an easy walk. El Cubil was easy to get to, too. The layout has a lot of space devoted to the master bedroom, so it may not suit couples as well, but it worked perfectly for us and our daughter.

The pool gets very little sun and was pretty cold during January. There are outdoor showers for rinsing off after the beach, which is about 200 meters away via the south access. A nice place to stay while visiting Playa Hermosa.

The condos have a modern look, but the place had a strange vibe and just didn't feel right for Costa Rica. It felt more like San Jose than Guanacaste.
