Hermosa Paradise

We usually trade our timeshare for condos with full kitchens so we can eat most meals in and have a few nicer family dinners out. We wanted Costa Rica, but there were no condos available for our dates, so we found this place through Expedia. The booking process went wrong: after asking how many people were traveling and which unit size we wanted, it asked how many people per room. We entered two and ended up with two units, or four bedrooms. At check-in we asked the office why two units had been booked. Vanessa looked into it and suggested we contact Expedia for a refund on the extra unit. Expedia said the decision was Hermosa Paradise’s. We were grateful that Vanessa and David, the manager, agreed to refund the second unit we had ordered by mistake. We really appreciated that, especially since not every business does the right thing. The units were clean and well kept, and the location was convenient. There’s a grocery store right in front, restaurants nearby, and Playa Hermosa beach is a seven-minute walk away. The pool is a good size and there’s a hot tub too. On our second day, we noticed a small mechanical problem with the condo’s A/C. It was fixed the next day and worked great after that. The people were wonderful. They communicated quickly on WhatsApp before our stay, sent access instructions, and were responsive while we were there. We highly recommend this condo or aparthotel.

Room 1 faces the main road, so there’s quite a bit of traffic noise, though we slept fine. There’s a grocery store in the building where you can buy coffee and filters, and the parking was good by CR standards. From the exit, take the sidewalk on the right for a short walk into the Playa Hermosa restaurant and beach area. Some better beaches are only a short drive away.

We stayed at Paradise Apartments with my daughter and her family, and it was a very nice visit. Leonardo, the owner, greeted us warmly, and I’d go back, though I have other places to see in life. We appreciate you all very much, and thank you, my friends. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job whenever needed. The sheets were changed regularly and the floors were always washed. The pool man was good too, keeping the pool clean and helping whenever we needed it. Leonardo has a very good team, and they’re friendly people.

The apartment gave our family plenty of room, and the staff sent useful instructions for getting in. Having a kitchen with dishes was a big help, since restaurants in Costa Rica are expensive. There’s a small grocery store conveniently located below the apartment. It’s a 12-minute walk to Playa Hermosa Beach. The pool was clean and nice, and we liked the balcony and drying rack for clothes. We’d definitely stay again.
