Corazon del Mar

There were nine of us at Villa Corazon Del Mar for a week, and we had an amazing time. The house was comfortable, the beds were good, and every bedroom had air conditioning. The infinity pool looks out over the ocean, and the beach was basically all ours. We spent lots of time in both the pool and the sea. There are several good restaurants nearby, plus a couple of grocery stores. The one drawback was the refrigerator. The ice maker didn’t work, and the freezer barely kept ice frozen. We went through a 10 lb. bag every day. The dishwasher was almost as bad. Apart from that, everything was great, and we’d stay there again.

Our family of 10 recently had a fabulous stay at this amazing seaside Villa. There was plenty of space, with a private room and full bath for everyone. The house was clean and had all the essentials. Tomas is an excellent chef, and Janet kept everything clean and gave an amazing massage. Dervins team at yellowfin did a fantastic job organizing transportation and activities for everyone, from 18 months to 73 years old. Jennifer and Chip made it easy to rent golf carts for getting around town, and Ellen did a great job finding what we needed to stock the fridge. The owners shared contacts for everything we needed. Everyone will fall in love with Costa Rica’s rich culture and relaxed vibe.

Renters, be careful. COVID-19 disrupted our plans, and all the flights for our group of ten were canceled. The Costa Rica Embassy said Americans could not enter or return to the US. Greg Pappas, the owner, refused to refund my $2024 deposit, saying his investment had taken a major hit during COVID. He offered a credit at first, but the nightly rate only goes up through 2021, and rescheduling for ten people is nearly impossible. After I said I would leave a negative review, he said he would no longer offer a credit. He considers that a threat. I feel he is keeping my $2024 for services we never received. Renters, be careful. I'm happy to share the correspondence so people can get honest, transparent information before renting.
