We loved the river sounds at night and in the morning. There’s a lovely pool too, and the river is just a few steps away for a swim. We cooked at the lodge on two nights, which was a nice option. With only six casitas, the place feels quiet and private. Ours was set up with everything we needed, and the new property is thoughtfully designed and really well built. Emmanuel and Fabrice welcomed us warmly and took care to make sure we were comfortable. We asked to extend our stay as soon as we arrived, and Emmanuel kindly made it possible. We’d happily come back.

We only had one night, but I wished we could have stayed longer. In the morning, the hosts brought us fresh local fruit, eggs, homemade bread, and a smoothie. The grounds were peaceful, and you can spend the day at the pool or go through a gate to cool off in the river. We’d been looking for somewhere to camp as the sun was setting and had nowhere to stay, so I messaged the owners on a whim to ask for a room. They replied almost immediately, and after a short drive off the main road we arrived in the dark. They really saved the day. The brand-new casitas were beautiful, with comfortable beds, a spacious hot shower, and a quiet covered deck with a small kitchenette for outdoor cooking. I’d recommend it if you’re after a quiet place to switch off, away from busy tourist areas.

We’ve already come back once, and would give this place more than five stars if we could. The property is gorgeous and peaceful, and Fabrice and Emmanuel are great hosts. Each cabana is so beautifully built and equipped that “cabin” doesn’t quite do it justice.

The natural creek was a lovely place to unwind, and we all had a fantastic time, my wife, our two kids, and me. Emmanuel gave us a great tour and made us feel welcome. The pool is great, and both bungalows were comfortable and lovely. Thoas Lodge is a beautiful property. We’d recommend it to friends and hope to visit again. Wishing the team continued success.
