The cabin had everything we needed, plus a great view and even a little fireplace to keep us cozy. My partner and I stayed the night before hiking Cerro Chirripo and again after we came back. The staff were kind and helpful, and arranged a ride to the trailhead and back for us. We also loved the restaurant. Get the trout à la plancha. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

A really cute family-run hotel. The owners get excited talking about birds and are great at helping you spot them. They even showed us some near their own homes.

Our riverside cabin was in a beautiful spot right by a lovely creek. Several restaurants and places to hike and birdwatch were easy to get to.

The room could use a few updates, but we still had a wonderful time. If you bring your own soap or toiletries, please keep the environment in mind.

The bathroom was okay, but the second-floor rooms were really cold, with no heating, thin walls, and other guests' conversations coming right through. A few people I knew and I all ordered burgers, which was a bad call. They looked like rubber, tasted awful, and we all got food poisoning afterward.
