The staff were the best part, really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. We had the last available room, just off the lobby, and its layout was a little odd, so the other rooms may be better. The location worked well: we walked to the center and to Barrio Escalante. Very cute place.

We only stayed one night before going to the airport, and I wish we'd had more time. The room was comfortable and quiet, and we slept very well, so the other noise comments didn't match our experience. Breakfast in the little courtyard was lovely, with freshly cooked eggs and gallo pinto, plus fruit, coffee, juice, and more. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's great value, with lots of bars and restaurants just a few minutes away. We'd happily come back.

Winston and his staff took great care of us, and breakfast was delicious. We booked an airport transfer through the hotel for $30. Casa 69 is on a quiet back street, roughly a 10 mins walk from both downtown and Barrio Escalante. Our room was spacious and comfortable. You can hear trains because the hotel is close to the tracks, but the good parts made up for it.

The people here were so welcoming and made us feel at home. The rooms were incredibly cozy, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was awesome. A lovely place to stay while spending time in San Jose. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

The owner and crew created a really positive atmosphere, and they served a very good breakfast. It's a lovely place to stay in San José, with good value for the price, and I'd definitely recommend visiting. A couple of things in the room could use attention: the shower holder was awkward, and there was mold on the shower curtain, likely because ventilation was limited. The bed was hard, but okay. Thanks for hosting us! ♥️
