I rented here for a while, and the whole experience was a nightmare. The current management may not be the same as the one I dealt with, so things could be different now. They didn’t provide some things promised in the contract: there was no promised kitchen, and the microwave didn’t work. The apartment flooded twice. I was there for the first flood, but not the second. The landlady acted as if nothing had happened to my belongings, yet my university exams were ruined and several clothes got damp and had to be thrown away. The first flood damaged the electrical wiring, and they never repaired it. For eight months they made excuses, and I was left without electricity until I finally moved out because of the problems. During the second flood, I also lost food after they removed the refrigerator, saying it had broken. It took about three days to replace it, by which time the food had spoiled. The replacement was older, and I never understood what had supposedly broken, since it worked fine before the flood. The water also came out a strange color, and I never found out why. Even though my issues weren’t fixed, I later got voice messages in an unpleasant tone demanding that I open the apartment because the breakers were inside. I had always been present, and they never contacted me. Then one day when I went out, I got all kinds of messages.

We rented an apartment for six months in 2016 for four people, though it seemed more suited to one. Mrs. Francis treated us terribly, including lying to us about a robbery in the building, along with many other unpleasant incidents. The apartment developed a series of problems. One of its two bathrooms was always out of service, there were water pressure and drainage issues, and the tap water looked dirty. The cleaning they offered was almost nonexistent. Before renting, we were told we could wash our clothes there, but in six months we managed to do so only once. Our clothes came back damp and in bags. Privacy was another serious problem. Mrs. Francis entered our apartment without permission, and once maintenance staff came in while we were still asleep. Despite the awful service and apartment problems, she kept our $1,200 deposit for no reason. The staff were rude and crossed personal boundaries. Don’t waste your money or risk your privacy by staying here. She completely took advantage of us.

The staff were extremely friendly, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a clean, comfortable place in a super central location, with all the buses just steps away. Excellent value for money.
