The food was among the best we tried in Costa Rica, even compared with several much pricier places. Everything tasted fresh and carefully made, with a bright, healthy feel, and they happily handled all our requests. We loved every dish and side, especially the desserts made in-house, and the house limoncello was a perfect end to lunch. The waiter was warm and attentive from the moment our family arrived. He told us it was a small family project he runs with his wife, and it felt good to support their passion and enjoy their recipes and hospitality. We have four days in Monteverde and already plan to return tomorrow. Highly recommend!

We’re coming back tomorrow, no question. The staff were so friendly and spoke excellent English, and the whole meal beat the nearby restaurants for atmosphere and taste. I’m from Canada, and this was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Huge portions, fresh ingredients, a thick juicy patty cooked just right, and great toppings. The bacon was unreal, with peameal bacon doubled up above and below the patty. You can tell they put a lot of care into making this seriously high-quality burger.

We traveled around Costa Rica for four weeks and this ended up being our favorite place to eat. We first stopped in for lunch, then came back for dinner on our last night in Monteverde. The owner and his wife were lovely, and you can see how much they care about the business. Great cocktails and food. We had guacamole and casados, both delicious, along with local flavors, homemade hot sauce, and a really nice vibe. Go once and you may well return.

The food was superb, and the owner and staff made our group of 15 feel wonderfully cared for at dinner. Every detail seemed to have a purpose, from the decor and signs about protecting staff and guests' health and safety to the TV showing a documentary on the owners' indigenous heritage. A wonderful experience, five stars.

The sorbet was the best bite of Costa Rica for me, so don't skip it. The restaurant was absolutely Devine, and you could taste the care in the flavors of every part of the dish.
