Bibi's B and B

I met Chris Lady at the house during his first visit to Costa Rica. Bibi and Jim singled me out too. They kept asking me to work for them at all sorts of times, and wouldn't let me have a female guest, though they allowed their pet Lee to. Bibi worked with other ladies to take me in. They wanted to put me out before my stay was over. They're hateful and senile. Jim, the old man, is a wino. I know they've never paid US or Costa Rican taxes. Clay

In January and February 2019 I stayed at BiBi's B and B. Jim and BiBi were helpful with sightseeing plans, and I highly recommend them as hosts. The house is modern and clean, with a walled garden that BiBi takes great pride in. Breakfast included eggs made to order, tropical fruit, pastry, and Costa Rican coffee. It's in an upper middle class residential neighborhood, close to a supermarket, banks, and places to eat. Downtown Santo Domingo is about half a mile away on foot, and San Jose is six miles by bus. Another guest called it a beautiful, welcoming home and said Jim and Bibi could become friends for life. The trip was far less stressful whenever we were away from the B&B. Jim yelled and swore at my husband, then told us to get out. We ended up homeless in a different country. We had agreed to the room and price before booking our flight, but after a week they tried to charge us double for one room. My husband has pictures and is sharing them in his review. I felt awful for him, because he was so worried about me while Jim was shouting at him. Bibi criticized me every day. She called me ugly and skinny, even after I explained my trouble gaining weight and my GI issues and perforated ulcer. She fed the young guys, but when Jim tried to feed me, she said in front of the other guests, "DON'T FEED HER," and they didn't give me food. They also laughed and joked about our passports. They asked to see them 15 days into our stay, saying it was for our security. Why not ask on the first day? We left every morning and came back before dark, then went to bed. I don't think Jim and Bibi are in the right state of mind to run a B&B, and I saw them making extra money from a couple of guests. I have plenty of good reviews, mostly five stars, with just one other bad one. This was the most stressful vacation we've had. If you want to ask me about the place, you can. I pray nobody else goes through this.

The room should have cost $720.00 for a month, but Jim's math kept coming to more, and he said it was $1,445.00 for me and my wife. I had worked out the rate and other details with him by email, all in writing. At the end of week one he handed me a bill for more than twice what we'd agreed. I asked him to check his emails, including a copy of our plane tickets with both our names, but he yelled that I expected my wife to stay free. I hadn't been told her presence would change the price. When I said I'd pay the original $720.00, he told me to leave, rudely. He gave me until 10 a.m. the next day to get out. I was overcharged and homeless in another country. Jim threatened to call the police and said, "I hope your spanish is good." I've kept the bill and the hateful emails he sent, and plan to post them. Jim is American, and I'm pretty sure accounting was his old job, which makes the arithmetic especially hard to understand. Bibi started commenting on my wife's weight and makeup on the second day. By week two, Jim had yelled at me twice in person and sent hateful emails, while my wife had been criticized for her size and makeup. I think she's perfect. I've never given a rating this low before. Truly the worst experience I've had. I can tell you my story personally.
