The house has three levels of very clean rooms and decks, and some of the best sunset views in town. Eight friends and I were blown away by the place. The hospitality was unlike anything I’ve experienced. Mona and Miguel gave us excellent recommendations for food and activities, and transportation was provided. We liked it so much that we’ve booked for next year already, since we can’t imagine finding a better spot. You’ll love it here!

I’d recommend having your own car for a stay here. The views are fantastic, and Mona, the owner, is an incredibly friendly German woman who helped us a lot. Super nice hotel, everything excellent.

I’m a Latin American native, and wanted to enjoy Costa Rica with a sense of comfort while still taking in the culture and pura vida. Casa Monacita delivered. The morning views were breathtaking as soon as I opened the curtains, and the room was beautifully cool. We chose to use the AC, but that’s up to you. I could step out of the room and straight into the pool, looking out at the beach, to start the day. After surfing, it was just as nice to unwind there and watch the sunset. My girlfriend and I also liked listening to music on the rooftop or in the hammock while taking in the views. Around sundown, we could hear the monkeys living nearby and spotted some on our way down the hill. Beautiful nature. The property manager was friendly, and the beach is a short walk away, with all Tamarindo has to offer. The stay was perfect. Highly recommend! #puravida
