Two of my students found a rat in their room. My balcony door wouldn’t lock, and the safe didn’t work. There was no hot water for showers either. This place has potential, but they need to keep up with basic maintenance.

The place was very clean, but way over-priced. The pool area was noisy, with very loud music. Only the bedroom has AC, so the living room stayed warm, and the fridge wasn’t running, leaving nowhere to put groceries. The AC was off when we arrived and the room was hot. The last 2.5 miles / 3.5 KM of road are unpaved, very dusty, full of giant potholes and steep in places.

It lived up to expectations. The service was friendly, breakfast was decent, and it’s conveniently close to great beaches, Playa Mantas and Playa Blanca.

The property around the rooms is lovely, and there’s a great pool. Service was really good, and the dining service was great too. Our room came with breakfast, lunch and dinner, including adult drinks. The food wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad, and there was a good selection of dishes. The rooms themselves are old, run down and not great. At $300 a night the room alone isn’t worth it, but with the meals included it’s good enough value.

The photos don’t quite do this beautiful, reasonably priced hotel justice. Our room was in perfect order and nicely decorated, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The pool was pristine and engaging, and the staff were excellent.
