The owner was so gracious and helpful, and she's a fantastic cook. She even got up at 5am to make us a hot breakfast before we left at 5:30 to hike Turrialba volcano. We had the best dinner in Costa Rica at the restaurant, with a delicious salad and wonderful steak. Chi Chi, her dog, is sure to make you smile. The hotel is quiet, sits above the road, and has incredible views, plus birds to watch around the property. We booked it because it wasn't too far from the volcano hike, and it was one of the few places with hot water. My husband and I will definitely return and would recommend it to anyone.

The views are beautiful, and the design is cozy, with a great location. The two ladies who run the place cook everything in house, and all the food tastes amazing.

Our room looked out over the valley, and the location was beautiful. We loved sitting on the veranda and watching the many birds. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly, and a lovely dog named chichi came to welcome us.

We booked at the last minute for one night and found a real gem, with great food, service, and views. Some very cute, friendly greeters were there too, as you can see in the photos. It's close to Guayabo National Monument, an underappreciated archaeological wonder, and to the Aquiares coffee and community, which has excellent tours.

The huge shared terrace became our favorite spot. It has lovely mountain and valley views, and every afternoon we hurried back to sip perfectly made coffee there. Our room was very clean, and it’s clear the owner Geraldine takes pride in making things as good as possible for guests. She helped us with everything, even arranging for our very dirty clothes to be washed and hung out overnight. She was SO SWEET. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're back in Costa Rica.
