Memories Cayo Largo

We rented a moped for a day to explore the island, and it was worth it. I wouldn’t take it to playa sirena because of the loose sand, though. The beach was beautiful, one of the best I’ve ever visited, and the place itself was exceptional. Maite, Yurel, and pretty much all the staff were very accommodating. I can’t remember the name of the guy who gave me a massage, but it was relaxing and much needed. The food was fresh and plentiful. I’d come back, but bring snacks next time! And those handsome butlers, oh my gosh 🤣

I came with a Scuba Diving club and hadn’t been here in 25 years. Very little seems to have changed apart from the beach, which is smaller now, though the stretch that remains is still long enough to enjoy, with amazing sand and water. We were here on Dec 3rd, and there were no bugs, unlike the main Island. Diving was great, with lots of Sharks and no boat traffic. Bring wine from Duty Free and chocolats, the rest is ok. You can have Pizza and Pasta made for you. I had Sushis one night, which were ok, though there were bits of ham in them. The Mojitos and Pina Colada's were better than the ones I had in Cozumel two weeks later. Memories is different from Grand Memories, and the airport is 10 minutes away.

The beach was beautiful, the food was great, and the rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I came back today after a seven-day trip, on the first flight from Toronto to the island in two years. We got a terrific welcome at the airport and again in the resort lobby.

The staff made this stay special, from reception and the waiters and waitresses to the bartenders and the pool and beach attendants. The rooms felt welcoming and spacious, most with a balcony, and the pools and hotel grounds were clean and well cared for. It was a fantastic experience at Memories Cayo Largo, paradise on earth. I’ll be back.
