That beach was so quiet and beautiful that we spent one day walking along it for four hours. The lighthouse beside Vila Galé Cayo Paredón has a little plaza with shops and entertainment, and we enjoyed stopping there for snacks. They accepted credit cards, which was handy. We also booked a sunset cruise and a city tour to Ciego de Ávila without any trouble. We were there for two weeks, January 22 - February 5, with three families: 6 adults, 5 kids, and an infant. The resort is modern, only three years old, and well kept. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and attentive. The food surprised us, even though we’ve visited Cuba before. There was plenty of fresh food, from omelets, pancakes, fruit, smoothies, cheese, and meats at breakfast to beef, chicken, fish, pasta, salads, barbecues, desserts, and ice cream later on. The four restaurants had different cuisines, too. We did have two power outages, each about 2-3 hours. And our Birkenstock sandals disappeared from the beach after we left them there around 5 PM for an hour. They weren’t recovered, and staff couldn’t help, even though the resort is secure and local visitors aren’t allowed on the island. Apart from that, our stay was wonderful. It worked well for the adults and kids, and we’d return. Thanks to the staff for making us feel comfortable and safe.

I’ve stayed in well-rated hotels on my four trips to Cuba over the past three years, and this one felt a level above them. It was very clean, and kindness came from everyone, right from the managers to the gardeners. There wasn’t a huge range of food, but it’s Cuba and we could always find something tasty. The alcoholic drinks were fine, too. Denise Ponds, the community manager, was amazing and really professional. I’m already looking forward to another visit.

The resort is spacious and can feel quiet, so there’s room to have your own space. I’ve been to Cuba a number of times, and this place is a good option for couples or families. The beaches are amazing, and there are three pools to choose from.

My husband and I spent my 50th birthday here, and I had the best time. The beach was peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful water, and I just wish I’d had more time off to stay longer. The staff were friendly. Guelmy made me special drinks during my stay, always with a cheerful smile.

The bartenders all around the resort were great, from the beach bar to the lobby and pool. We had great service everywhere, and the beach was beautiful, with some days wavy and others very calm. Denis Pions was looking after our family even before we arrived and was there every day to make sure our stay was amazing. The restaurant reservations were already arranged, and the meals were very good. We especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant and the Canada Day dinner. Gracias Vila Gale Cayo Paredon. Come to Vila Gale Cayo Paredon and you’ll meet great people.
