Hi Tito and Martha, Havana gave me such magical moments that I forgot about everything else and just enjoyed myself. This was the best vacation I've ever had. I had planned my trip to Cuba well ahead of time and put a lot of excitement into every detail, including where I'd stay. Even when my tablet, my main travel tool, broke, I had memorized the plans so well that I managed fine without it. In Peru I would have been lost without it, but in Havana I was able to disconnect and enjoy the moment. Your stories, your courage in getting through difficulties, your smiles when things are hard, and the way you keep going made me admire you. I see you as an example for my own life and for my family, and I'll carry that with me. The arrangements for transport and our stay in Varadero worked perfectly. I made friends, found that wonderful beach, and enjoyed the many blessings of this marvelous land. I wanted to talk with the hotel staff, and we got past their initial apathy and ended up chatting like old friends who hadn't seen each other in years. I also got to share many experiences with Vane, reconnect with her, and enjoy being together. That's hard when routine takes over and our attention shifts to our children. Most of all, I want to thank you for our stay in Havana. I hoped to meet a family instead of experiencing the coldness of a hotel, to feel at home and share experiences, and to make the trip a meaningful life experience. A vacation should let you learn about another culture, and Vane and I found that what we expected was far less than the hospitality, generosity, and time you gave us. You shared so much of your country's rich history in lovely conversations about all kinds of things, even soccer. The room was spotless, breakfast was prepared beautifully with excellent products and exquisite flavors, and the coffee smelled and tasted delicious. Thank you for making the trip so wonderful. Keep being yourselves. You are true ambassadors for your country, and we're lucky to have met you. I hope we get to see you again. Hugs, Vane and Pedro
