Everything was sold out, so we had no real choice. Our room was pretty crummy, with a leaky ceiling above the toilet, no heater, and old furniture and bedding. We weren’t expecting much, so we made do. We ate dinner at the hotel once and, as both vegan, requested black beans and rice with vegetables. The beans arrived cold and I had to ask for them to be reheated. The rice was okay. Breakfast was awful, and dry toast was the only thing we ate. We paid $168 USD per night. I would have paid more for a better hotel, but everything was sold out. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

The breakfast looked like it had been scooped out of the trash, nothing worked, and the staff were insanely rude. This was by far the worst accommodation experience we’ve ever had. We regretted spending so much money on such a horrible place, and it totally ruined our holiday and experience. I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers: absolutely avoid this place. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Stay with a local instead, you’re better off in almost any casa. I booked this place for the last night of the trip because I wanted a proper bed, but woke up with bed bug bites. The water pressure was very low and there was no hot water.

They were extremely unfriendly and offered no help with questions or bookings. With no internet, that left us feeling helpless and isolated. The staff seemed focused only on getting extra money from us, and the place was insanely overpriced.

The dining room is up on the top floor, with lovely views across Havana and out to the sea. Breakfast is included, and there's a generous spread of coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, pastries, toast, and cold cuts. The hotel sits beside Paseo del Prado in Havana Vieja, near the Capitolio. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and both they and the bathrooms are very clean.
