Iberostar Coral Holguín

The weather was good, and the kitchen workers and waiters were good too. But I'd tell people to go anywhere else. I know it's Cuba and people have certain expectations, but I've stayed at better Cuban resorts. The beach is small, next to a river, and far from most rooms. The buffet is small as well. The adults-only section is okay if you don't care about being near the beach. Some people have stayed here multiple times and say they like it, but I honestly don't understand why. My worst experience was in a restaurant. The waitress seating people and taking orders was terrible, and I felt discriminated against by her. People who arrived 20 minutes after me got their food first. I believe she did it on purpose. I tipped different waiters in the restaurant and the bar, in case you're judging me instead of believing me. I know she wouldn't care whether I was upset. Next time I'll spend my money somewhere else, maybe back in Mexico.

The staff were the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The place was clean and comfortable, and the food was great, from breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room to the snack bar, which isn't small, and the larger Selection dining hall. Both the large and small beaches were clean and well maintained. The pool was clean and never overcrowded. There are only 60 rooms in the adult resort.

This was our fourth stay at Coral Iberostar. The food and service from the dedicated staff were fantastic. Meals have included grilled steak, beef in red wine sauce, shrimp, clams, and plenty more. The buffet stations also had fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, along with creative cabbage dishes. Carlos De Jesus Paz Aguilara, the entertainment animator, stood out for his energy and talent. His aqua fit classes and fun salsa lessons were great, and he finished the day with wonderful singing and guitar playing.

The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, and the dining room staff and bartenders always took fantastic care of us. The butler service was the best I've ever had, especially from our dear friend Junior. Carlos, the best friend we've made here, has been so good to us, and Gio is a great asset too. They've both made our experience beautiful. It's our third amazing visit, and we'll definitely be back for a fourth.
