From the street, the colonial facade looks pretty ordinary for the town, but inside there's an amazing central courtyard filled with decorative plants, reaching up three stories. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the staff are professional and helpful. The beer at the bar was properly cold, and the espresso was excellent. I'd strongly recommend it if you're visiting the colonial village of Remedios.

The breakfast was the weakest we had in two weeks. There was little choice, no pineapple or fresh bread, and the coffee wasn't good. I almost lowered this to three stars. Dinner was okay but nothing special. The hotel has a nice colonial atmosphere, large rooms and bathrooms, good air conditioning, and looked clean. It’s centrally located on the square in this lovely town, with a nice second floor roof terrace. No elevator!

I only had dinner there, and it was good enough. I didn’t see the rooms, though I assume they look nice too.

They charge a really high conversion fee for drinks from the fridge in the room, and don't tell you about it beforehand.
