I’m glad our stay was only one night. The reception seemed indifferent and didn’t seem interested in sorting out the problems. My room’s air-conditioning leaked constantly, so I had to use the bin to catch the water, and it was really noisy. The rooms were in terrible shape and hadn’t been cleaned properly. One couple in our group even found a turantula in their room, and another group had a cracked bed. This was easily my worst hotel experience in Cuba.

The lunch was really well prepared, and the drinks were delicious. I went for a day trip, and the service was good. The entertainer ran a fun game for the children, then another for the adults. Prices were very reasonable too. A nice choice for a relaxing day out.

The place is clean, though a bit run-down, and the rooms are spacious. Staff are friendly, and the food was good. There’s a pool area and small two-story buildings with one room each, besides the main building. It works fine for a road trip, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

We were very well looked after at breakfast, and the entertainment director even put on a magic show just for our group. I think there were only six of us on the tour, and he seemed genuinely happy we’d come, which you don’t see very often anymore. The friendly staff earned the fourth star. The room felt dated, and while the bathroom was clean, it needed renovation. Then I killed a baby cockroach, only for a huge mother cockroach to show up and hide behind the air conditioner. It made for a pretty unpleasant night.
