Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero

The beachfront deserves five stars, and I'd rate the resort itself 4.5. We got exactly the relaxing trip we needed, with a great ocean-view room and good food. The staff were so friendly and treated us like family. We'll definitely come back.

I was pleasantly surprised by how accessible the resort is for people with mobility issues. There's a ramp into the pool and a walkway to the beach, where staff are glad to help if you need assistance. Elevators in the resort buildings make it accessible throughout. The children's water area and playground are great, too. We had a swim-up pool room and access to the rooftop bar and restaurant, with fabulous food choices and service. Staff were attentive, including at the beach, where lifeguards quickly got everyone out of the water when a sudden storm made the waves powerful against the beach and coral. This was my seventh Cuba trip, and I'd come back to Inerostar Bella Vista Varadero. We had a fabulous week, 4.8 out of five.

Daniel, the room division manager, was very helpful whenever something came up. Marisbely, who cleaned my room, was polite, attentive, and wonderful, and Boras at the bar took great care of us. The whole staff were amazing. Liz American from the entertainment group was especially friendly and helpful, and Javier from social media Gide was a great person too. I had the best time here, and the food was good for Cuba.

The entertainment team made the week for us. Robert and Alejandro brought energy from morning to night, and it felt like they cared about everyone having a good time, not just doing a job. They got us dancing, laughing, and joining activities we normally wouldn't try. Their humor and positive attitude gave the whole resort life. I'd go back just to see them again. We had a welcoming stay from the moment we arrived, and the food was much better than we expected for Cuba. Every meal had something delicious, and we always left with full plates.
