Flag Hotel Foya Branca

The kids had a blast at the pool, and the staff were really friendly. After the floods in Sao Vicente, the beaches didn't feel like the safest option, so we spent the day here for a reasonable price, mil escudos. The pool bar and the views were a treat too. We went back a few times and would definitely recommend it.

The location is beautiful and peaceful, and I can see potential here with good management. But our two days at Foya Branca Resort with four people were disappointing. The rooms weren't good, and on my first day the toilet started leaking while I was using it, flooding the whole bathroom. Staff cleaned up the water but didn't fix anything, so we had to stop using that bathroom. Its shower was broken anyway. Service was okay, though it felt like the staff didn't enjoy their jobs. Breakfast wasn't good; dinner was fine, but despite getting a whole book of a menu, we could only choose from one page. As things are now, it just isn't good and didn't meet expectations. I give it two stars.

There were maybe 15 other guests around the two pools, so it was a quiet day out. We had a fantastic time with our day pass, ordered drinks and snacks from the bar, and the WiFi worked well. Would definitely recommend.

The only staff I found decent were in the restaurants and security. The front desk service was horrible, the bus driver had a bad attitude, and the internet was bad. The pool was green and didn't look as if the water was treated. In the room, everything felt old, from the furnishings and fixtures to the paint, and there was no A/C. The food was basic with little variety, and the villa experience wasn't worth the price. Staff seemed to give more attention to day pass guests than to people staying at the hotel. Very disappointed, not recommended. Do not stay here.
