Plateau Bedroom & Chambre - Praia Center 1

A horrible experience. The property didn't match the description on Booking. The listing said the room included AC, but there was no AC at all. They charged me more than the Booking price for a room with AC, even though AC was already included in that price. They also offered no help when I had two suitcases and made me carry them up to the second floor. I don't recommend it. They weren't serious or respectful.

Our flight was canceled, so we couldn't make it to this guesthouse. The host was very kind and approved a free cancellation. Thank you!

I had a great stay, and the staff were super nice. They gave me helpful taxi tips, ordered one for my trip to the port, and told me where to get tickets near the hotel. Thanks for all the tips! The room was simple but had a fridge, which was a big plus in Praia's heat, and the location in Plateau was very convenient and cheap for the area. The bathroom was outside my room, which isn't my favorite setup, but it wasn't much of a hassle. It's noisy at night, especially on weekends, because it's right in the heart of the city. I only stayed one night. When I came back to Praia, I considered staying here again, but it was fully booked.

The service was good, and I have no complaints about the people. You can choose between a good room and a cheap one, but the rooms feel very different even though both were very clean. The more expensive room had AC and its own street door. It was much quieter, with no traffic or alcohol-related noise, even though there was no soundproofing. It also had the curious feature of being almost empty, which made it feel very spacious. I recommend this option. You definitely need AC, and the street was really quiet at night. The cheaper room had no AC and was a lot smaller and less quiet. The price-to-quality ratio is worse, though it might work if you're on a budget and only need a shower, linen, fridge, and a fan to make enough noise to help you sleep. I wouldn't recommend the cheaper option.
