We loved how convenient the plateau location was, with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The place itself is a renovated family home, done up with real care. Everything felt new, the decor was tasteful, and the quality was excellent. The hosts were charming and attentive, and clearly wanted guests to have a lovely stay. If you meet the owner, his kindness and remarkable French will stay with you. The hospitality and the accommodation both made this a memorable visit, and I highly recommend it.

The room felt drab, and breakfast was just average, with dirty cutlery. The location is central, but I wouldn’t recommend the place. At check-in and check-out there was no greeting, and nobody offered help, support, or advice on getting around, things to see, or places to eat.

The rooms have TVs and air conditioning, and the owner cares about the guests. The service staff are friendly, and the receptionists help with whatever you need. It’s in a quiet, well-located part of Praia. Excellent.

For 4245 escudos, or 42 euros, this place was a rip-off, about 40 euros more than it was worth. It was filthy and noisy, with no sheets or towels, dirty brown pillows without pillowcases, and a broken shower door. A dump of a rat hole.
