We got a very reasonable rate through AirBNB, and the stay was great value. Breakfast on the roof terrance was lovely. The place is basic but clean; I would’ve liked a more comfortable bed, but otherwise I can’t complain. The owner takes good care of her guests. The town has some great restaurants and excellent seafood.

Our best vacation ever. Staying in the heart of Sal Rei was a great way to experience the Cabo Verde atmosphere. Simone and his wife were so friendly and looked after their guests, even organizing evenings with live music and delicious local food. Thank you, Simone, Agnieszka, and Wojtek.

The person hosting our Airbnb wasn’t the owner. At first he was very friendly and showed us what he called “the real Boa Vista,” but things changed quickly when he kept drinking grogue and became pushy. He took us to a delicious restaurant that was overpriced for Cape Verde, and we later found out it belonged to the property owner. The food was very good, though. The rooms were basic and not clean, unlike the photos. Then the host claimed our Airbnb payment covered only one person instead of six and demanded five times as much. When we refused, he followed us all the way to the harbor, yelling and calling us thieves for two hours. It was the middle of the night and we were genuinely terrified. Not recommended. Stay away. If that’s the real Boa Vista, bye.
