Hotel Oasis Salinas Sea

The rooms are a good size, and the whole resort was very clean. Breakfast had a wide range of choices for different tastes. There's a private beach, with some rooms looking out over the ocean and others over the pool. I loved the place.

We had booked ahead and let the staff know we might be slightly late. They confirmed it wouldn't be a problem, but when we reached the beach restaurant, we were turned away. Nobody tried to help, and the reason given was that the chef no longer wanted to serve us. The reception interaction with Tania was worse. She was cold, rude, and unprofessional, and seemed openly defiant. At one point she asked, in a provocative tone, whether we'd understood. We weren't welcomed or listened to, and she offered no alternative or solution for the inconvenience. We're currently staying at this resort and experienced this ourselves. It's hard to accept this kind of conduct from a place meant to offer hospitality. We work with tour operators and travel agencies, and will make them aware of what happened at the restaurant and reception. I strongly don't recommend this resort for hospitality or professionalism.

We were at the Oasis in Santa Maria from 23-28 April 2026. The staff have been very nice and haven't caused any problems. The hotel doesn't mention the nightclub across the street, which plays music until 3 am. We were offered quieter rooms, but our rooms are already at opposite ends of the hotel and we can hear the music in both. Two of the four of us have been throwing up and making frequent bathroom trips after eating at the restaurants. We'd spent six nights in Santa Maria elsewhere before this, with no issues. The hotel couldn't refund the rooms, which is fair enough. We then asked to cancel the all-inclusive for the remaining days so we could eat in town, but that wasn't possible either.

The room was really spacious, and the staff did a great job with the activities. The dancers deserve special mention, they were incredibly talented. Breakfast was the weak spot, with awful coffee and lots of bland food. Our cleaning lady Esther, from Nigeria, was such a bright light. She also suggested some lovely things to do on the island.
