The hotel shop charged us twice. Getting a refund was a huge hassle, and even though they made the mistake, it felt as if we'd caused them a problem. It took three employees, and in the end we got cash back because the card machine wouldn't accept my UK card. I'd avoid the shop. At meals it got very busy, with one side of the restaurant open most of the time. Seats were hard to find, people moved others' leftover plates just to sit down, and we had to ask staff for help. People didn't know where to walk and picked up food with their hands. The place felt badly organized. Choice was limited, the service was terrible, and on a few occasions our chicken wasn't cooked. They also reused tongs between raw and cooked meat and between different meats. The staff weren't friendly. We'd ask for a drink and they'd keep talking to a colleague without looking at us. At the beach it was windy, and there were lots of sellers. I saw security fail to ask them to move on several times. The resort seemed aimed mainly at Europeans, and we didn't feel we fit in or that anyone made much effort to speak with us. When we raised concerns, management didn't seem to care. The rooms and hotel look lovely, and most of the entertainment was okay, but it was one of the worst holidays I've had. The place looked good from outside, but felt like a catfish.
