We spent three nights here. The location in the Center was great, and our room was lovely and clean. What made the stay special, though, was Emanuel. He seemed to carry the Hotel on his shoulders, noticed everything, and went out of his way to get things done. He understands what Tourists expect and pay for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Emanuel, for taking such good care of us!

Emmanuel was always there when we needed something, even getting up very early to make us a great breakfast. The hotel is close to the beach, restaurants, and market, and has a cozy feel, with a lovely pool. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a great view. It was my first stay here, and I’d definitely consider it if you’re visiting Fogo. I hope I can come back soon :)

On my second visit to Casa Colonial Koenig in Fogo, I found it just as wonderful as the first time. It’s become my go-to place on the island, and I’ll definitely return. The guesthouse is clean, charming, and full of character, a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the island. Emmanuel works hard to keep everything running smoothly and make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The friendly owners are also ready to help with anything. I highly recommend Casa Colonial Koenig to anyone visiting Fogo Island in Cabo Verde. You won’t be disappointed!

The apartments were spotless, beautifully decorated, and top notch, and the indoor pool and bar made the place feel like a movie set. The owner was charming, helpful, and the nicest person we were lucky enough to meet. Staff were friendly and helpful too. It’s close to the beach and airport, and the partner hotel’s restaurant and cafe nearby serve great drinks and cocktails along with delicious food. Worth every penny, and the best stay in Cabo Verde.
