The property is beautiful, and breakfast there felt so peaceful. We tried the Dutch pancakes, with apples and dulce de leche for me and apples with rum raisins for my boyfriend. Both were absolutely amazing. We also split a BLT on their sourdough, which was great too. I really should've ordered another glass of sangria. Wish we'd discovered Landhuis Daniel sooner, and I can't wait to come back on our next trip.

The meal tasted pretty good, though a few dishes were hard to identify, and even the women serving us weren't quite sure what they were. Service was interesting, but we were on vacation and had time. The trouble came later: we left at 18.30, then the turmoil started at 1am and lasted five days. We were excited about dinner, but ended up dealing with five days of sickness. A friend told me they'd had a similar experience. I appreciate the owners' thought that a virus had been going around the island, but to me it seemed obvious this was severe food poisoning, not a stomach bug or virus. The food tasted very good, if you can handle what may follow and stay close to a bathroom for the next few days. Still worth trying, and I'm sure they'll take better care in the future.

That shared Table d’Hôte specialty was so generous that the five of us couldn't finish it, and we still can't agree which part we liked best. If Indonesian fusion flavors are your thing, it was a treat unlike anything else. We come to Curaçao regularly and used to count Isabelle Off The Beach as our favorite restaurant. Daniel’s is now a second favorite. We had meant to try it before, but our original dinner plan closed for an island celebration, so we got lucky. There were other dishes that looked amazing, and we'll have to return for those. If you're going to Curaçao, this is a must. I'll say it again, one of the top restaurants in Curaçao.

A very cool old plantation house with an interesting history, and you can stay here too. Breakfast was just what I wanted for an authentic island meal. The Dutch pancakes were outstanding, and the place felt peaceful, cool, and beautiful.

It took three hours from sitting down to being told they were out of dessert. We chose the Mother's Day special because it sounded quick and easy, but no one checked on our table. The entree took an hour and was the wrong one, then the main course took another hour. We weren't offered more drinks or had our plates cleared. They blamed the delays on being busy, though some waiters spent many minutes chatting with regular customers. The service was incredibly slow and disorganized, and the food was mediocre. I'd go straight past and try one of the other service minded restaurants on this amazing island.
