Waterside Apartments

It’s a really quiet location, and we had a lovely, relaxing break. The hosts were kind and accommodating. The apartments were spotless, nicely presented, and had lovely decor. Denise and her team have thought of everything and are happy to help with anything. You’ll need a car because of where it is.

We were only a few meters from the water, so it was easy to go for a sunset swim. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the staff are wonderful. A perfect place to stay. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Lotte and Denise, who took over from the previous owner Tine, welcomed our group of ten divers warmly and helped sort out any issues. We stayed in April 2023 at Waterside apartments, split across three units: koncha, Karko, and Kangreeuw. The large terrace in front of Karko and Kangreeuw gave us room to have lunch and dinner together. The apartments had been freshened up with new kitchens and bathrooms. Airport pickup went smoothly, and each unit had a few groceries to get us through the first evening and morning. A meal at nearby Niffo's hut had also been arranged. Their Sleep/Dive/drive package is excellent for experienced divers wanting to explore the island, with unlimited tanks included. Great service, and I can highly recommend the place.

The lack of air conditioning in the living room was the biggest problem for us. With Curacao’s heat and high humidity, it was really uncomfortable. The apartment had just been renovated and still smelled strongly of fresh paint and other renovation work. In the tiny shower stall there were no towel racks, hooks, or holders for soap and shampoo, so it was hard to put things down and use them while showering. Those issues are why I’m giving the place three stars. Waterside apartments is away from the crowds and tourist areas, with access to a small beach. There are lots of large pebbles on the beach, so you have to watch your step getting into the water. Lotta, the manager, was friendly and helpful, which was a plus.
