Tropical Paradise Bliss Villa at Coral Estate

We could snorkel right from the resort and saw all kinds of fish. There’s also an on-site dive school with guided trips in the daytime and at night. Our oceanfront villa opened onto wide sea views, and the rooftop bar had excellent drinks. Karakter Beach Lounge & Restaurant serves tasty food right on the sand. The resort is in the peaceful Rif San Martin area, about a half-hour drive from the airport. Staff were welcoming throughout, and on departure day they gave guests a dedicated room to shower and freshen up, a really thoughtful touch. We’d happily come back. Highly recommended.

You’ll need a car, and the resort is about 40 minutes from the city, but we still had a great stay and didn’t mind the drive too much. Just know that drinking makes that trip less convenient. The grounds are beautiful right by the ocean. The infinity pool is lovely, though not very big, and there isn’t a beach. A couple of steps lead down to the water from the cliffside rocks. Our room was spacious and very clean, but the tiled showers slope down and could use anti-slip mats or flooring. Book dinner ahead. The staff and service were super friendly and helpful!

The construction noise ruined our honeymoon. Every morning at 8:00 a.m. drills and jackhammers started in the adjoining room, rattling the walls until 5:00 p.m. We couldn’t get the rest we needed, and despite several complaints, management was unavailable and never followed up. They also didn’t tell us about the work beforehand. Check-in was a tedious process that could have been handled remotely. Housekeeping missed a scheduled visit, and when we asked for fresh towels, we were told we’d have to wait until the next morning. Only one staff member, Gwen, was kind and helpful. The resort offered a room change, dinner, and a 20% discount on our last day, after we started a credit card dispute. A month and a half later, the promised discount still hasn’t arrived. The failure to communicate or deal with the problem promptly spoiled an experience we can’t get back. We can’t recommend Coral Estate Luxury Resort. Save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.

Keisha at the front desk made check-in easy for my wife and me. She was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and caring. We came over memorial weekend and had a great time enjoying the facilities, especially the staff. The restaurants were amazing, and the views across the resort were spectacular. It really lives up to its “luxury” name. When you're in Curacao, this is one of the top places to stay!
